(2) Research paper/project:
(1) Content: Your research paper/project will consist of the following elements: Introduction (Relevance of topic/policy; Thematic statement; Research questions; Brief outline of paper); Description of topic/policy; Theoretical/analytical framework; Analysis of topic/policy; and Conclusions (Implications of findings/analysis).
(2) Length: 15 to 20 pages (not including references) for undergraduates; 25 to 30 pages for graduates. Pages will be numbered and double-spaced. Left and right margins will be either one-inch or one and one-quarter inches. Top and bottom margins will be one inch. Students will use 12-point font.
(3) Citations: You are expected to use these when appropriate. You will use one of the following writing/citation styles: MLA format; APA format; Chicago-style format; Turabian format. When using citations, you will need to provide a list of references or bibliography at the end of the essay. If you have questions concerning how to incorporate citations, please consult either the instructor or online reference materials for your chosen writing/citation style.
