Create your own protest movement and write a leaflet for it. The movement you create must not already exist and the injustice you create the movement to address must not already have a protest movement attached to it. To begin, think about an injustice that is being perpetrated against your culture. Create a protest leaflet that names the injustice and that does the following:
Alerts members of the culture to the injustice (3 focused paragraphs). Use pathos.
Explains clearly and succinctly why the injustice must be resisted (3 paragraphs). Use logos.
Outlines 3 clear and distinct actions that your movement will take to make your voices heard for awareness and change (3 paragraphs).
Appeals to the ethics and conscience of members of your culture (1 paragraph). Use pathos.
Encourages your readers to pass on the leaflets through social media (1 paragraph).
Use the White Rose leaflets (Dumbach & Newborn, 2013, pp. 186-205) to see how to cite your sources.
Note:
You must not quote or paraphrase from fact-based sources or peer-reviewed articles to support your leaflet. Quote only from philosophy, poetry, literary prose authors, or religious works to support your cause.
You must create and name the protest movement. You must not use an existing protest group or write a leaflet for an injustice that is already being protested against.
Sources (3 from the list below are required)
This paper focuses on pathos (emotion) more than it does on logos (logic). Therefore, you must look for sources that play on the emotions of readers. Only the following 4 types of sources are allowed in this paper, so choose your 3 required sources from among this list:
A source written by a philosopher from your culture. A philosopher is a published author who talks about the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence. For example, western philosophers include Aristotle, Plato, Marcus Aurelius, etc. If your culture is western, you can use them. If it is not, choose from your own culture.
A source written by a poet from your culture. A poet writes poetry, which is written in verse or meter, sometimes rhyming, sometimes not rhyming. For example, Latinx poets include Pablo Neruda, Yesika Salgado, Jasminne Mendez, etc. If your culture is Latinx, you can use them; if it is not, choose from your own culture.
A source written by a literary prose author from your culture. A prose author writes fiction or nonfiction long or short works that are not poetry. For example, African or African American prose authors include Chinua Achebe, Akwaeke Emezi, Trevor Noah, etc. If you are African American you can use them; if not choose someone from your own culture.
A religious source. A religious source can be a holy book or a work written by a famous member of the clergy. For example, Asian holy books include Bhagavad Gita, the Buddhakarita, Yi King, etc. If your Asian culture reveres one of these books, you can use it; if not, choose a holy book from your own culture.

Do not use media sources or peer-reviewed articles for this paper.
What happens if the sources you use are the wrong ones or you dont have all the required sources for the paper? The paper receives a failing grade.

Structure of the Paper
Set up a weekly newsletter template in Microsoft Word. To set up a template, watch this video.
Choose a color scheme.
Write the name of your movement, the acronym for it, if appropriate, add an image to symbolize your group, and a pull quote from one of your required sources.
According to Wikipedia, a pull quote (also known as a lift-out pull quote) is a key phrase, quotation, or excerpt that has been pulled from [a source] and used as a page layout graphic element, serving to entice readers into the article or to highlight a key topic. Single-space your leaflet.
Follow the structure outlined in the Purpose, above. Word count: 1000, not including quotes.
Add images and pull quotes to your leaflet to catch readers attention and to make them connect emotionally to your cause.
