Book: Night by Elie Wiesel This is an Argumentative Essay I chose Prompt 1: What societal issues is Elie Wiesel discussing in this book, and to what extent have these issues changed/evolved/been resolved? My thesis: Night by Elie Wiesel discusses how the Nazis forced Jews living in Sighet to be sent to Auschwitz concentration camp, and made them abandon their lives and abolish their existence, relationships and faith, and also resulted in the death of more than 6 million jews. Counterargument- we think genocide is over but its not and neither is discrimination, media doesnt talk about it. Answer these throughout the essay: How is this happening today? How has it changed or not change?
