You are to also utilize Ram’s Ten Design Principles to define your approach to the Social Work Building Site on the UTA Campus with an understanding that all ten principles may or may not apply to this problem. (see video) 4. You are to consider public infrastructure including electrical and stormwater management. 5. You are to consider the UTA Corridor aesthetics as you propose the enhancement of landscapes and facades The 6.5-acre neighborhood site problem will be the reimagining of the School of Social Work, UTA block, bordered by Cooper Street, West Abram Street, Lampe Street and UTA Boulevard. The amount of housing, street orientation(s), height of buildings, relationship to UTA, commercial and retail arrangements and scale, open spaces, play spaces are up to you. Offer a Precedent Study of an existing housing design strategy that has inspired your thinking for this assignment. Design Temporary uses for the 6.5 acre site as it is transformed from the current use to your proposed uses.
