Scenario and Prompts
You are completing an application for a
management position in your field. The application asks you to respond to 1
of these prompts in detail:
1: Describe a time when
your responsibilities became overwhelming. Explain what you did to get back on
track. How will you prevent getting overloaded in the future? Show how this
situation helped you grow as a person.
2: Write
about a time when a project or situation at work did not go as expected, and
what steps you took to get it back on track. Explain what you did well in this
situation. Describe what you could have done differently. Then show how this
experience has helped prepare you for a management position.
3: Describe a time when you
took initiative without being asked. Describe the project or situation, and why
you chose to act without guidance. What were the results? What does this
situation show about your leadership style?
