As of 2022, the social media platform billed itself as the world’s largest professional network with more than 830 million members in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Beyond networking and brand building, there are several other benefits to being on LinkedIn. For this weeks discussion, please do the following:
Identify at least 3 potential benefits from having a LinkedIn profile
Discuss any concerns you have regarding having a LinkedIn profile
If you do not already have one, create a LinkedIn account and profile
Begin building a network. From your profile, send invitations to connect to the members of this class, including the instructor, as well as any additional potential connections
Use the LinkedIn Jobs tab to investigate career and internship opportunities
Post at least 3 potential internships in the area of business analytics that you have identified
Follow-up posts may be focused on any of the above, including benefits and concerns from having a LinkedIn profile, any difficulties you may have had setting up your account, or any observations you may make about building and customizing your profile or making connections.
