Write a paper demonstrating your knowledge of the medication and the mental health conditions for which the medication is prescribed. Remember to focus on the medication, not the mental health conditions unless you are specifically addressing symptoms (ie: certain antidepressants address specific depressive symptoms). Cover the pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, ethno-psychopharmacology, potential side effects, addiction potential, tolerance and issues of long term use. Include recommendations of poly treatment modalities for various mental health conditions for which the medication may be prescribed. Expected length of paper is 8-10 pages (this is the body of work and does not count the cover page or resource page). A minimum of 5 references (must be peer reviewed journal articles, no websites), appropriately cited are required. The course textbook and the DSM 5 may be used in the paper but not included as the 5 references.
