Create a research proposal using the attached document as the foundation of the paper “please add information needed in the yellow highlighted statements” Follow the information below for how the research proposal should be created: Creating a Research Proposal is the final “project” of this class. The Research Proposal is the foundation of any research project. For this project you will develop appropriate research components, and finally assemble a formal proposal (see outline below). This is a written project – and each main section needs an introduction and thesis statement. Follow the outline below, your APA Manual, and the Creswell Study Headings in order to structure your paper. Outline for your Research Proposal final Project: Title page Abstract Introduction (Use the study title as the Level One Heading – not “Introduction”) Include in this section your introduction to your topic – setting the study in context, problem statement, research question(s), and hypotheses, research design, and overview of methodology. What is the purpose of your study? Literature Review – (This is a Level One Heading on a new page) The literature review is where you establish the need for your project within the scholarly discussion of your topic.
The literature review is not an article by article review of sources, but a finely crafted argument which is supported by the important literature surrounding your topic. This section is a paper supporting your proposed research project, fitting it into the broader discussion of the topic. For this paper, at least ten academic (peer-reviewed) sources are required for full credit. Make sure to review the material provided for structure and formatting examples. Methodology (This is a Level One Heading on a new page) Research Design (This is a Level Two Heading) Describe the research problem, research question, hypotheses, quantitative research design as well as description/definition of variables in the proposed study.
Population (This is a Level Two Heading) Include description of the characteristics of the sample and sampling techniques as well as recruitment strategies. Instruments (This is a Level Two Heading) Provide a concise description of the specific instruments you plan to use. Include a brief discussion of each instruments psychometric properties (i.e., purpose, validity, reliability, etc.) and intended population as well as similar studies using the instruments. Procedures (This is a Level Two Heading) Describe specifically how you plan to carry out your study. Write this section with sufficient detail so the reader would be able to replicate your procedures. Data Analysis (This is a Level Two Heading) Describe how you intend to use statistics to answer your research question(s) and hypotheses. Limitations (This is a Level Two Heading) Describe any short-comings, suggestions, or issues with your proposed research. Appendices (This is a Level One Heading on a new page) If you are attaching any instruments or demographic collecting material, make reference to these in the Appendix – follow APA formatting. References (This is a Level One Heading on a new page) APA 7th Edition. Make sure to follow APA formatting for this section. NOTE: The main sections (Abstract; Paper Title [Introduction]; Literature Review; Methodology; Appendices; References) are Level One Headings. Any sub-headings in each section will start at Level Two Headings. Start a new page when you begin one of these sections (chapters).
