MAX 1200 words. Questions to be answered for both papers
1. Your first and second paragraphs should provide an overall summary of each paper written in your words without simply restating the abstracts. You should write one paragraph for each paper.

2. The next two paragraphs will be more detailed and should summarize and critique the two research methodologies. What is the research question for each study, in other words, what did the authors set out to do? What measurements of social and economic circumstances are being used? Are these useful in terms of the studys purpose? Do you think there is anything the authors should have done differently? Justify your position on this. How could the study design be improved? You should answer these questions for each paper individually.
3. Now write a paragraph discussing the materialist and psychosocial hypotheses with respect to the findings of each paper. Can you find any confounders? You may want to include a sentence or two describing the authors interpretation of their findings. Is this what the authors set out to find? What conclusions can you draw from the results that are different from those of the authors? Briefly state why you agree or disagree with the conclusions in each paper. You may use other sources to support your thoughts.
4. Finally, based upon your critiques and discussion of both papers, develop a recommendation on whether governments should provide a guaranteed income based on, but not limited to the information from these papers.
