As described in our text, research has identified a number of factors that place students “at risk” for failure or dropping out. Fourteen of these are listed in Chapter 2 of The Act of Teaching.
Research: Select at least two of the factors that contribute to placing a student at risk. Name and discuss the factors you select. Summarize three research-based teaching strategies that would engage the student in the learning process. Write one paragraph to summarize each strategy.
Select two of the research based strategies you identified as teaching strategies for at risk students and evaluate why each might be effective or ineffective. Support your analysis using research
