This is an internal assessment of philosophy and the main topic is human nature that is a philosophy Unit The research question is: Could Artificial intelligence ever replace real life humans? The two philosophers are Plato and Descartes Stimulus: movie the matrix The Machines are the new race of highly developed artificial intelligences that have emerged as the dominant civilization in the far future of Earth in The Matrix franchise. They rebelled against humanity and imprisoned the majority of us in the virtual world known as the Matrix. René Descartes: Descartes’ philosophy is often associated with The Matrix, particularly his concept of radical doubt and the famous statement, “I think, therefore I am.” In The Matrix, the protagonist Neo questions the nature of reality and undergoes a process of self-discovery similar to Descartes’ philosophical journey.
Plato: Plato’s Allegory of the Cave bears resemblance to the world of The Matrix. In the allegory, people are chained in a cave, perceiving only the shadows on the wall as reality. Similarly, humans in The Matrix are trapped in a simulated reality, unaware of the true nature of their existence.
