this is my college essay for nursing school however, the topic is super sensitive to me so i am not able to write it out. Ive tried but i am still grieving and i just cant so i am asking for help. The reflection topic is: Each of us possesses unique skills, attributes and experiences. Describe how a person or experience impacted your development and the unique perspective, view and/or attitude you bring to the college.
A little about me and what I wanted to talk about:
I am the youngest out of 4 kids of my single immigrant mother. My oldest brother recently passed away, he was so proud of me and my dedication to school. None of my siblings attended college, my oldest brother had so many goals and he was so close to achieving them but then he died.. he was so close. He actually got his CDL license like that month. Anyways. He always encouraged me and was so proud for picking nursing. He left his daughter behind, my niece. She plans on being a nurse or a doctor. It’s now my turn to motivate her and encourage her the way he did to me. This experience has taught me life is short and spend it by making a difference in someone life, i want to treat people and help them when they are in their lowest points. My brother changed my perspective in life and everything i do is for him now and i plan on being the nurse he has been waiting for and i will work hard for it in this school of nursing. I understand the skills i learn from this school will be a great representation to others
