How can regression be applied to your clinical practice?
Lets apply regression to your clinical work. Suppose you have data on the time it takes for recovering from a fall. The dependent variable would be time in weeks. You have collected data from 100 of your patients. Based on that information alone, what would be your best guess for the recovery time of your next patient? What would that regression line look like?
Now, you add an independent variable – age – to your data. Explain how that will influence your best guess of your next patient’s recovery time. What might that regression line look like?
