A 4-piece band has written and recorded their first song and they want to
make it available online. The student will act as a band manager and work
through the process of songwriting splits, digital distribution and royalty
collection. Both sides of copyright must be addressed with ownership
outlined. The process involved with digital distribution should be clearly
documented alongside all requirements to make a song available for
streaming. Finally, a plan for maximising royalty collection and ensuring
copyright owners are remunerated correctly should be provided. This report will be submitted in combination with a thorough reference list to support all
aspects of research undertaken.
