The review extant literature will reveal some theories/models that cover this stream. You’ll find arguments that focuses on areas like: Factor Endowments & International Product Life Theories, Economics-oriented perspectives of internationalisation like: Internalisation (or transaction cost) theory, Eclectic paradigm, Stage of development models, Network theories, Business Strategy/Contingency theories, Resource-based theory, etc. You then link the arguments from this initial part to Retail Internationalisation (the focus of my research).
With Retail Internationalisation you’ll equally review major arguments here – meaning of retail internationalisation, and theories/models/frameworks of retail internationalisation some of which include: Hollander’s contribution, Salmon and Tordjman’s Classification, Dawson’s Assessment, Sternquist’s SIRE Model, Doherty’s contribution, Vida, Reardon, and Fairhurst’s IRI Model, Picot-Coupey’s Framework, and others.
