At the end of Coming of Age in Mississippi Anne Moody is decidedly ambiguous about the future of race relations in America. Based on Moody’s experience in the book, from Childhood on through the Movement, write a paper in which you use Moody’s life experience to argue that she should be either optimistic or pessimistic about America’s future. The concern of this paper is NOT your opinion on what you believe comes after Moody’s book but to analyze what she has lived through and to access her own ambiguity about the future of race relations in America based on her experience in the Black Freedom Movement.
