Information technology (IT) systems are a key component in today’s health care settings. This is also true in a behavioral health care environment, but the IT requirements may tend to be somewhat unique given the use of different tests, the varied records kept, types of records that need to be kept, etc., and the regulatory requirements to limit access but also to permanently store information.
