You are required to select a firm based in the United States and listed on the New York Stock Exchange or NASDAQ. Research the firm of your choice by obtaining the firm’s latest annual report (“10-K”) using the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC’s) Edgar Website.Links to an external site.
Tasks
To complete your brochure (4-6 pages in length is suggested):
1. Describe the firm, its operating features, firm-specific risk, and characteristics distinguishing it from competitors. Use this information to explain how the firm produces value for shareholders.
2. Use benchmark information and financial ratios from your readings to evaluate the liquidity position of this firm.
3. Compute and evaluate Cash Cycle and Operating Cycle and suggest measures appropriate to this firm, industry, and potential economic circumstances to improve this firm’s measures of short-term solvency.
