In this assignment you will propose a resolution to the conflict you examined in the first two assignments (conflict between North- and South Korea. ). As the conflict you selected is ongoing, I expect to see a proposal that considers why previous attempts at resolution have failed. Your readings this week consider the impact of technology on diplomacy. How would your proposal incorporate these new technologies in resolving the dispute? Each component of your solution should be fully explained. What actors are involved in the solution? What role will they play? How will the parties to the dispute implement your suggestion? Will the populations impacted by the solution accept it? How will the global community react? How will neighboring states react? Who or what will ensure that the parties abide by the solution? Is a party to the dispute violates the agreement is there a recourse for the wronged party? There is a never ending list of issues that you could address in your proposal.
Technical Requirements
Your paper must be at a minimum of 4-5 pages (the Title and Reference pages do not count towards the minimum limit).
Scholarly and credible references should be used. A good rule of thumb is at least 2 distinct scholarly sources per page of content; however, a minimum of 6-8 scholarly and/or peer-reviewed references are required.
Type in Times New Roman, 12 point and double space.
Students will follow the current Turabian Style as the sole citation and reference style used in written work submitted as part of coursework.
Points will be deducted for the use of Wikipedia or encyclopedic type sources.
It is highly advised to utilize books, peer-reviewed journals, articles, archived documents, etc.
All submissions will be graded using the assignment rubric.
