Enclosure Model: You need to have a visual representation of the enclosure. You are free to do this however you choose, but it does need to be submitted electronically.
I will not open any links so be sure that the format you are uploading is accepted by Canvas. Some options include using Power Point or Word (shapes and icons) or draw the enclosure by hand and, then, take a picture of it to submit.
You can draw/create a view from above (minus tree branches) that is similar to a floor plan or a different angle if you choose. Just make sure that everything is visible.
You will need to label the items placed inside the enclosure or create a key, plus you need to indicate where the visitors will be, and where the animals can be out of sight if needed.
All the items in the checklist should be included in the enclosure. Summary: Include the common name In a brief paragraph describe the overall construction of the habitat layout (how many rooms, forest or savanna, etc…) For the remainder of the write-up you are welcome to construct a table or write it out in paragraph form.
You will need to explain every item you include in the enclosure. Everything from the checklist should be included. You will be graded on using the content from the Primate Info Net webpage to justify your reason for each item in the enclosure that meets the species “specific social/behavioral needs” and “Signage” listed above.
This shouldn’t be an issue since you have been doing this for the last three discussions. (Note: The only time you don’t need a justification is when you are providing the animals with a place to have a break from the visitors or for veterinary exams.) Sources Each group has been using the Primate Info Net webpages for their specific species.
That is the only source you should use. I includes links at the very bottom of the page or you can still access it by accessing the previous discussions. Use of the wrong source will result in a grade deduction of 10 points each time it is used.
Falsifying the source will result in a deduction of 10 points each time it happens. Do not use AI or any other source to try to add more information.
Checklist Here is a checklist. All of this should be in the enclosure. It is included on the rubric too.
