Assignment Question
In an earlier step you selected a peer-reviewed scientific study to read. What research questions have popped into your mind while trying to understand it? See if you can find an answer to that question through further research. You will write a paper which demonstrates your understanding of the study and your ability to find answers through research. The “Reading Research Strategically” packet you filled out in step 2 will be a valuable tool for writing this paper. Write a 2-3 page paper (12 point, sans serif font. double spaced) on the topic / article you selected. Note: 2 full pages of written information minimum. Cover pages and bibliographies do not count as pages. Starting the content of your paper halfway down the first page counts as half a page.
Include: An introduction including the background information necessary to understand the study. Use terms learned in class to describe the study. Details about the study you selected such as: goals, the experimental set up, test subjects, treatment groups, procedures performed, etc. The results of the study An original question, and an answer you have found through research. Cite the study itself and at least two other published sources.
