Conduct
a small qualitative investigation into the role of the community on
a health behaviour covered in the lectures (i.e., select either [1] diet
and weight management, [2] exercise and physical activity, OR [3] alcohol
and/or other addictive behaviours). What are people’s perceptions of how their
community impacts their own and other’s behaviour? How could their community
increase engagement in health promoting behaviours (e.g., exercise) or
prevention efforts (e.g., to reduce alcohol consumption) in this context? You
will need to interview at least 5 people for this task, consider
relevant ethical issues in the research process, record the interviews
and analyse the transcripts using a form of qualitative data analysis.
