Social justice in health care translates to the delivery of high-quality care to all individuals. Achieving social justice is critical in health care to ensure that all individuals can maintain their highest level of health and wellness.
This week you will research and develop an electronic poster/pamphlet presentation for the Social Justice Campaign on Health Inequities in Healthcare or Social Determinants of Healthcare. This project is very open-ended, and creativity is highly encouraged. This assignment is your 2nd Virtual Conference for the course and one that could be potentially used within your organization.
Perform research on Health Inequities in Healthcare or Social Determinants of Healthcare to use for next week’s comprehensive assignment. There are many options for gathering data for your project.
Gather stats from (scholarly) published resources
Many other options… or a combination of options.
Your presentation may be on any scale that you wish. You could study newscasts, newspaper readings, scholarly articles, and other credible sources…
Put all of your information together on a poster-size document. This is MINIMALLY an 11×17. You will not be required to print your poster. Please avoid submitting the standard letter size paper- points will be deducted.
Create your poster
Give your informal ePoster an attention-grabbing title (ie: how can the information be translated to ensure that is clear)
Ensure your name and credentials are on your poster.
Include a brief, 1-3 sentence, introduction ensuring readers understand the importance of this topic. Use at least one scholarly resource or EBP article (must be less than 5 years old) and cite it appropriately using APA format.
Present your data/information in the way you feel is most appropriate. At least three (3) bullet points, floating quotes, graphs/charts…)
Make your electronic poster/pamphlet visually appealing (you may use non-copyrighted photos, colors, fonts, graphs, etc… to achieve this.)
If you used previously published data you must include an APA reference citation somewhere on your poster and cite the data source in place (where the data is shared on the poster.)
