Plan for hidden curriculum or informal curriculum strategies for addressing language in the multicultural classroom. Using this week’s readings, resources, and your creativity, describe two strategies that you can use to further multicultural understanding through taking advantages of different dialects or languages used by your students. This is very similar to last week’s task. As was the case last week and should be in the two weeks to follow, don’t impinge on instructional time. We stay in the hidden curriculum throughout. Merge, blend, make your strategies a normal part of instruction if you can, not something that sticks out as an add-on. You don’t want an administrator, a supervisor, or a parent to accuse you of neglecting the written curriculum. Your strategies should always feel and look organic and natural, the same way that genuine racial harmony in the bigger population would look in an ideal world. Use the schematic as a procedural guide, with the pages following serving it as a template for organization of your paper.
