Background Information. (Read-Only)
If only 40 percent of people in the United States pray and go to church regularly, then I do not want to be the norm. We should be an example for all people and guide them to Jesus Christ. The following scripture tells us that being a Christian is difficult and requires patience and humility.

When we were children, we wondered why our parents sometimes did not let us do anything we desired. In our later years, we saw the wisdom of our parents, but not at the time. It takes patience, understanding, and humility to know someone else has a path for us greater than our own.

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Matthew 7:13–14 (New International Version)

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9 (New International Version)
