Watch the documentary Shouting Fire: Stories from the Edge of Free Speech:
Write a blog post and cover the following:
· Write a summary of the film (at least 200 words)
· Pick one of the situations in the film and discuss it thoroughly (at least 300 words)
o Describe in detail the First Amendment issue at stake
o Discuss whether there are also ethical issues, even if it is protected by the First Amendment (For example A person may have the right to hang a Swastika in front of a Jewish celebration, but is it ethical)? Pick an ethical code to explain your position.
Guidelines:
· Post must be a minimum of 600 words
· You will need to support your positions with resources from class.
· Use at least 2 additional references in addition to the class resources and film
· Cite all resources
