Write an essay that answers a broad thematic question or discusses a complex aesthetic topic by analyzing and discussing at least one literary work. Students may analyze works from any unit of the course, as well as compare a thematic topic in two or more works. Should they wish, students may compare works from different genresa lyric poem to a novel or a dramatic tragedy to a short story, etc.
