The Research Paper assignment will consist of writing and presenting a paper on neuroscience and criminal responsibility. The steps are as follows:
a) Find a relevant court case that involved a defendant’s brain function
b) Write a scholarly paper on facts of the case using court documents and peer-reviewed papers
The final paper should be between 8-10 pages and utilize at least six peer-reviewed journal articles, court-documents, or case laws. Peer-reviewed articles can be found using Google Scholar and PsycINFO.
The paper must be double-spaced, 12pt Times New Roman font, 1-inch margins on all sides; cover page, abstract, and references count toward the total number of pages. All citation and references must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style. Failure to meet these standards will result in your paper not being accepted and receiving a score of zero.
