1) Introduction – about a page
2) Literature review – about 3-5 pages –> look at any of your peer reviewed articles for examples but it is a theme based discussion of what prior sociological research has done
3) Methodology – about 3-5 pages –> your research question(s) go here along with a detailed discussion of the three theories/theorists and how they are included in your proposed study.
4) Expected Findings – about 1-2 pages –> based on prior sociological research and based on your understanding of the theories and based on any other resources such as news articles etc what is it your study expects to find?
5) Works cited section – as needed
IMPORTANT: because this is a theory class the theory has to shine. This is why you are asked to include three theories/theorists. HOWEVER, if it is easier for you to propose two or three separate studies you are certainly welcome to do so.
(The sources have to be based on sociological research don’t in the topic. If you cannot find any they we can change the topic.)
