The Korean War had a huge impact on Canada’s role and identity, but for some reason nobody took interests in what happened during the War. As some may know the Korean War all so known as the Cold War started from 1950-1953, specifically, July 30, 1950, to July 27, 1953. A war between North Korea and South Korea, along with the Soviets, USA, UN, and Canada. The battle was in South Korea, Hill 355 the Kapyong or (Gapyeong) valley. During the significant event Canadian troops reached nearly 27,000, and Canadians were active on sea, on the ground, and in the air.
