For your final paper, you will be asked to cover a topic we discussed throughout the course. You must demonstrate the depth of the course’s key elements.
The paper will need to be a minimum of 6-8 pages. In this assignment, you will be asked to use a sample music playlist to speak to the topic of your choice.
You must include at least four songs in your paper; if you choose to use more, that is okay.
You will need to successfully interweave songs from the sample playlist to engage with your topic critically. Here are some essential questions to consider when writing your paper: how does your topic highlight the challenges Black, Indigenous, and Latinos faced, historically and presently?
When using your songs in your paper, consider the cultural and social elements at the time the songs were released. Use appropriate legal cases to speak directly about your topic.
