This week’s PBS video focused on voting rights in the U.S. and challenges related to the administration of elections during the COVID-19 pandemic. First, identify two specific aspects of the electoral process that you found surprising after watching the video and explain your thoughts/ reactions.
Second, think about whether you believe the increasing politicization of the electoral system is good for the integrity of our democracy. Should the methods we use to vote be a partisan issue? There are no correct answers to these questions, but you must defend your position with a least two well-developed arguments.
Finally, take a position on the following questions: Should we encourage all eligible voters to vote in the U.S.? Should we make it easier or harder to vote? Explain and defend your answer to ALL of these questions.
