Assignment Question
You will be assigned to one of three case studies for the module. Based on the information in your assigned case study, you will formulate an episodic H & P. Assume the assessment findings not listed in the case study are normal; however, make sure you describe what a normal finding would be, do not use ‘within normal limits’. You will use the Episodic H & P Guidelines for your format. An example of an episodic History and Physical is posted for your review. Both of these documents can be found in the “Course Resources” Module. This is not meant for you to copy, but to give you a general idea of an episodic H & P. Contributions will be thoughtful, scholarly, and show comprehensive understanding for the discussion topics. Proper use of current APA guidelines, citations, and reference of evidence-based sources Some questions you may want to consider as you are responding to your peers: What data would deviate from normal findings, suggesting a need for further investigation? What additional questions could the examiner ask to clarify symptoms? What additional physical examination, if any, should the examiner complete? What type of problems do you anticipate this patient will have? What are other possible treatments for the diagnosis given to the patient? Would there be any differences in diagnosing based on patient age? What additional health promotion or anticipatory guidance might benefit this patient?
