Film titles are always italicized. Do not use the actor’s names when discussing characters in a film.
Write in present tense when discussing events that take place in the film. Use past tense when referring to actual events. Avoid repeating words in the same or consecutive sentences. Alternate proper names with pronouns.
Avoid writing in the passive voice. Subject and verb should be in the first half of the sentence. We always want to know WHO is doing the action in the beginning. Keep plot descriptions to a minimum.
