1. Does the author lay out everything they have done to answer
their questions? Have they discussed their sources and
methods?
Paragraphs, Sections, and Sources
1. As you read their paper, give feedback on their paragraphs.
The general rule for paragraph writing is “one para, one
idea/thought/argument.” Follow this rule, and offer
suggestions on when to start a new paragraph or
alternatively, when to merge paras. For this you will have
to read each para carefully. If it is too long and doing
too many things, suggest when to break into a new para. On
the other hand, if you think two paras are connected,
suggest that they be merged.
2. Check for citations. If you feel that there should be a
citation somewhere, note it.
3. See if they have divided their paper into sections. Offer
feedback on the title of each section. Remember that the
title must correspond to what the section is doing. Give
