Explication Essay Two is just like Explication Essay One. You will choose one of the primary works we have read since the last essay to analyze and explain the message and theme for that work. The thesis is up to you, but must be a clear argument and opinion that you can support by analyzing passages from your chosen work in each body paragraph.
The same guidelines apply: MLA formatting for the essay and citations, six paragraphs – four body paragraphs that contain at least one quote and citation from your chosen work, and no personal pronouns.
