Below are a number of short interviews with people who lived through the Great Depression. They include “Edna Hargett Interview”, “Clay East Interview” and “Julius Fry Interview”, among others. Choose two of these interviews, and read the excerpts carefully. You should also go to the section labeled “see entire interview” where you will be able to download and listen to an MP3 file of the entire interview. They are quite long, and you should get a good sense for the people in 20 to 30 minutes, but feel free to listen to the entire recording if you like.
