Organization and Community Introduction 1-2pages: Tell us about your community and how your organization fits into the broader community ecosystem. This introduction should contextualize your equity plan and assessment.
Org and Community Assets 1-2 pages: When thinking about accomplishing your equity goals, consider what’s working in your org’s favor. Are there already community voices organizing around your service area? Are there opportunities to partner with outside orgs? What is your organization already doing well?
Org and community Limitations 1-2 pages: What obstacles might arise to prevent your organization from accomplishing your equity goals? What can be improved upon in your organization?
Possibilities for transformation (3-4 pages): Be sure to mention how you have come to these decisions. Who have you spoken to? What did you observe? Why are these the suggestions for possible change? What outcomes do you anticipate the organization would see following your suggestions? Whose suggestions are they? (programs, staff structure, board, leadership development, funding partners, location, other?)
Leadership Reflection (1-2 pages): Assess your leadership on page 186 of Emergent Strategy focusing on the first 4 questions. What have you learned from Roots for Radicals, Trampoline Effect, and Emergent Strategy? Share where you feel comfortable or challenged. Share where you find synergies or disagree? Close by telling us what you will take with you today.
