Starting from page 54 “Grandma, that stuff Bennie is using smells awful. Can I go downstairs, please?”
Ending with page 56, the stage direction that says ‘she hangs up’
This essay must be based off 3 different points in the book:
1. mams vs Beneatha when mama don’t like people coming to the house when they’re cleaning it u can talk about the generational conflict for that one. The difference of opinions of mama and Beneatha
2.then Walter vs mama/family with the stage directions when Walter did not want mama and the other family members to know about his conversation with his business partner on the phone and u can talk about how that was memorable for u etc.
3.right before Beneatha hung up she say “no…. house cleaning and all that and Mama hates it if I let people come over when the house is like this”
