Puberty in adolescence is an important stage in a child’s development. As such, you may be tasked to have to share
information regarding this stage with a parent or guardian. For this assignment, you will create a tri-fold brochure about
puberty in adolescence that would be shared with a parent or guardian.
The brochure should include the following:
A brief description of the hormone changes that happen during puberty.
A brief description of physical changes the parent or guardian may see in their child.
A brief description of possible emotional struggles the child in puberty may be experiencing.
Warning signs that parents/guardians should look for during this time that could lead to depression.
A minimum of two resources for those struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts.
At least one appropriate image or graphic that relates to the brochure content. Be considerate of others when selecting
the image and do not select anything that is overly sexual or graphic in nature.
If you are not sure where to find a brochure template, you can find one in Word. First open Word, then click on File, then click
on New. Below the Blank document, you should see a search bar. Type “brochure template” in the search bar to find available
templates. You can also create your own template or use another brochure template you have available.
