Find at least one Internet source that addresses the positive effects of smartphone and/or social media use on adolescents and check that the source qualifies as a credible academic source by using the Evidence Quality and Credibility Checklist at the end of Chapter 1 of The Process of Research Writing.
Then, juxtapose your article against Jean M. Twenge’s article, “Have Smartphones Destroyed a Generation?” On what points do the authors agree? On what points do the authors disagree? Ultimately, what answer do these articles provide to the question of whether social media and smartphone use for adolescents has had a positive, negative, or neutral effect on adolescents?
