If the dashboard report shows that the average age of the employees is 52 years that means that the company has an aging workforce. There are pros and cons to this matter. From a good perspective, statistics reveal that older employees are more loyal to the company and have a well-developed work ethic, they are experienced and skilled in their field of work. But also having older workers can raise a few issues to HR specialists. First, the cost of health care insurance is higher for older workers. Absenteeism is another issue. As some older workers might have more health problems, be overwhelmed with intense workloads, or just have a lack of motivation.

Also, innovation implementation can be challenging for older workers, thus appropriate training and development programs should be considered.

From a long-time perspective, a proper pension plan can be a part of solving the problem of an aging workforce. HR directors can apprise workers on how to earn the pension and provide a good plan, so this might secure the employees financially and allow them to retire earlier.
