There are many technology tools available for educators. Reviewing and evaluating effective technology tools should be a practice that all teachers complete prior to purchasing and using them with students. In this assignment, you review and evaluate technology tools in order to prevent unnecessary expenditures on technology tools that may not produce the intended results.
Select a content area focus and brainstorm technology resources and tools that would support student learning and global competence. These may include software, websites, or other technology tools.
Create a 1- to 2-page graphic organizer in which you review and evaluate 5 technology tools or resources that support student learning and global competence in an educational setting.
Include the following information in your graphic organizer for each technology tool or resource:
Name of the tool or resource and a description of its purpose
How to find the tool or resource
Cost of the tool or resource
Appropriate grade level(s) and subject area(s) the tool or resource applies to, including an example of how teachers or students could use it
How the tool or resource supports global competence
Potential challenges related to using the tool or resource
Wrtie a 1 page script to present the information in your graphic organizer.
Include APA-formatted citations for sources used in your graphic organizer.
Submit your graphic organizer and video or podcast recording.
Note from your Faculty:
I expect you to use Word friendly documents. This is so I can use University tools to grade your assignments and give you strong and effective feedback.
I do not accept the following and the reason why:
pdfs this document cannot go through Grammarly.
Screenshots of any portion of the assignment this document cannot go through SafeAssign or Grammarly.
Links to your assignment this does not go through SafeAssign or Grammarly and quite often I cannot open the document
Google Doc this does not go through SafeAssign or Grammarly and quite often I cannot open the document.
I look at SafeAssign checking for plagiarism. Although you need to use research and/or our weekly readings, your assignments also need to be your own thoughts and ideas supported by research and/or our weekly readings. You should try to keep the information you use from research and/or our weekly readings at approximately 20%. That is an approximation.
I use Grammarly to check for spelling, grammar, and word choice. Grammarly has a free app that you can download and use as well.
I look at APA format. That means that all assignments need to include:
Title page
Introduction
Content of the assignment
Conclusion
Reference Page
In-text Citations
