New Testament: This is the collection of 27 books that make up the canon of the New Testament. I am open to suggestions of what you might want to examine, but you will choose either an historical/cultural event or practice, a particular healing or exorcism by Jesus, a teaching or literary technique by one of the Gospel writers. Myth and Structure: How do we see the narrative structure of a dying (and rising/returning) God figure in other myths and stories? What tensions and oppositions are resolved in this story?
