The following color coding system is REQUIRED for all Essays in this course. To ensure that you understand the main points of writing an essay, you are required to use the following colored font to denote important parts of the essay writing process:

Purple – Purpose Sentence
Red – Thesis Sentence
Blue – Topic Sentence
Green – Transition Sentence
