Interview a retired person 65 years or older
• DO NOT include a name
• Provide the following demographic information: gender and age of the
retiree/interviewee.
• What is the relationship to you? Is it a family member, neighbor, church member, etc.?
• What was their profession before retirement?
Ask and answer the following questions in a paragraph format:
• What are your greatest needs as an elder?
• What are your greatest fears connected with aging?
• What are your greatest joys at this stage in your life?
• If you could have done anything differently when you were younger to affect your life
now, what would it have been?
• Have you had any problems receiving health care?
• Summarize what you learned from this interview and how will you use the information?
• Thank her/him for his/her time
• Submit a summary of the above responses in a one-page paper
It will not suffice to just answer the question; you must provide a
summary of your interview.
