1500 words for the written assignment and 1000 words for the portfolio of placement learning experience observations Taking your observations of each other’s practice as a starting point and then drawing on your academics readings and learning this year from across the study blocks and your placement experiences, reflect on how a restorative approach might aid or hinder practice in educational environments and settings. Assessment criteria: • Literature is used critically to explore existing theories and policy on the use of restorative practice in the context of education. • The application of restorative practice and/or alternate behaviour management techniques in the placement learning context by self or others is analysed and reviewed using associated literature. • Recommendations for own or others future practice are made, drawing on supporting literature and evidence. • A series of observations of others and critical self-reflections from assessment 1 are included in a portfolio of evidence and referred to in the main text. • *Evidence of 72 hours of verified placement learning experience is provided.
