During the mid-point of our course, we examined the differences between groups and teams
along with their implications on Path-Goal and Senge. Begin by addressing what are the differences
between groups and teams in terms of their leadership, process, and accountability structures? What
are the four positives and four negatives in terms of strong team versus group dynamics? If we are
aligning them to Type I v. Type III dynamics, which of the two would be more aligned to a Type I v. a
Type III organization? As part of your explanation, describe the stages through which teams v. groups
evolve through Tuckman model differently and how we might use Path-Goal and Senge typology to
classify them.
