Find a newspaper article from your hometown (Columbia Missouri) newspaper published between 1900–1920. Examine the language and/or word choice. How do you see people or groups referred to that differs from how we’d refer to them today? Do places have different names? Examine the tone of the piece. How does it compare to the way stories are written in that same newspaper today? Write a 700–800-word paper that answers these questions.
