International Affairs Paper. You will write a paper that asks you to explain a historical or current international affairs event or problem with reference to the theories presented in class and in the readings. Your focus should be on demonstrating the depth of your understanding of the course material and your ability to clearly connect that material to the specific event that you are writing about. The paper should have three components. 1) a description of the argument/theory made in the reading you are drawing on; and 2) a description of the issue you are writing about; and 3) integrate how the specific IR theory helps you better understand the event you are writing about. This paper should be 5 – 7 pages long, double-spaced, using 12-point Times New Roman font and 1-inch margins. Aside from class readings, you should incorporate outside readings pertaining to the theory you are focusing on and also the issue/event you select. Please provide clear citations and a bibliography
